Meet the Doctor

Dr. Adam D. Bennett recently joined the team at Beaver Creek Endodontics and will be transitioning with Dr. Lee to continue providing high-quality, comprehensive endodontic support to the Vail Valley. Endodontically, Dr. Bennett and Dr. Lee share very similar treatment philosophies, believing that evidence-based approaches, such as two-step treatment for large necrotic cases, are more important than paradigms that solely prioritize on production. The number one focus will always be the patient and our office will ensure timely, transparent, and open communication to best collaborate with our referring dentist population.

“I believe that endodontics is so much more than pretty white lines. It is the incorporation of modern imaging modalities and testing to provide accurate diagnosis, the utilization of local and systemic pharmacologic measures to address pain, the application of sound instrumentation and irrigation strategies to ensure maximum disinfection of canal systems, and, lastly, the provision of high-quality coronal restorative treatment to achieve success and ensure survival of patient’s natural dentition. We will strive to see all emergencies on the day of referral, no matter the time of day or the daily schedule. I view my role as a member of the comprehensive oral health care team, here to meet the needs and expectations of my referring doctors. I want to ensure that my services support, not interfere, with the restorative treatment plans and will do as much or as little as requested to do so. My farming and military background cemented a spirit of service that I am committed to incorporating into every aspect of Beaver Creek Endodontics. We are here to serve you and to serve the population that calls the Vail Valley home. Thank you for all of your previous support of Dr. Lee and I look forward to carrying forth his reputation of high-quality, patient-focused endodontics for many years to come.”

Dr. Bennett is the oldest of four boys and grew up on a family farm in Southeast Iowa that his family has called home for nearly 165 years. Following high school, Adam attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Agriculture. Realizing that the Midwestern farm life was not his calling, he pursued an education in dentistry. Adam attended the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, Arizona where he received his Doctor in Dental Medicine and Master of Public Health. Following dental school, Adam commissioned into the U.S. Army and served as a general dentist for eight years.
Dr. Bennett, then CPT and MAJ Bennett, started his military career at Fort Sill, Oklahoma working in a basic training clinic performing largely operative and third molar extractions for new recruits joining the service. In 2016, Adam spent six-months in rural northwest Kuwait. When he was not sweltering in the 130 plus degree weather or digging sand out of his boots, Adam managed a four-chair dental clinic serving the troops stationed at Camp Buerhing. Following Kuwait, Adam served as an aide to MG Thomas Tempel Jr., the U.S. Army Dental Corps Chief. Dr. Bennett then moved to Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he completed a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry and received a Master in Science in Oral Biology. Adam’s last duty station was serving the Green Berets and other members of 10th Special Forces Group at Fort Carson, Colorado.

It was during his time in Colorado Springs that Adam found and fell in love with the mountains. Dr. Bennett attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City to complete residency training in Endodontics. As graduation approached, Adam found himself searching for a way back to Colorado and met Dr. Lee through a mutual friend. After a half dozen trips to Edwards and countless hours talking life, root canals, and all things outdoors, Dr. Lee elected to transition Beaver Creek Endodontics to Dr. Bennett. The two will work together until September, when Dr. Bennett will remain as the sole provider. Adam is joined in Edwards by his trusty travel companion Gazon (gah-zon), the friendliest eight-year old Sheepadoodle out there. Outside of work, Adam enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, live music and landscape photography. He hopes to make Eagle County his forever home and is excited to integrate himself into the local community.
